Prometheon Demo, Version 1.1, made by Neotron Games


Description :

Prometheon. At it's very first stage it is a crystalline construct, often found around the Aclocudios Pits.
Bright yellow fumes and magenta beams of light emerge from its surface, slowly evaporating into thin air.
When Aclopolarized it becomes liquid and in this process vast amounts of energy is released, forming Circular Pulsating Clouds.
It was the herald of the modern Age, the Age of Industrialization and Corporations.

But while it granted the Tribes the power of heavy machinarium, of world-devestating weaponry and of anti-gravitational flight it was nothing.
Nothing compared to what was to come.

Gelatinum... The boundaries of reality were just about the be breached.


Prometheon is an action jump-and-run platformer with lots of shooting and light adventure elements.
It has a big focus on variation as well as a slightly rpg-like story with multiple paths.

Our goal is to make a fast-paced game where the player can discover new things all the time;
new environments, new enemies, new gameplay mechanics, new game modes, new insights in how the story fits together, etc.
Simply, lots of surprises and variation combined with classic platform/shooting action.
Besides the platforming the game also contains shoot-em-up sequences, various mini-games, "spirit" battles, etc.



Controls :

All controls are explained in the in-game tutorial. A short list can be found below :

Directional Pad - Move and Aim
X - Fire weapon
B - Jump
A - Activate and Examine
Y - Display current objective, if one exists
Start - Enter Menu, Select Menu Item
L and R - Switch Between Weapons

At certain points in the game controls will be different.
The game will mention this at those points and explain further.



Important Info :

There is an option to stretch the image to fit the entire Pandora screen in the game. It can be activated in the options menu.
Due to a small bug you might have to press the button an extra time to make it work. This will however make the graphics look "stretched" and will also make the game a lot slower.
Therefore this option is not recommended. If you want to use it anyway, a good idea might be to overclock your console so it will run smoother. This can be done by editing the file
PXML.xml. Just make sure you know what you do, so nothing goes wrong. :)



Usage :

This demo of Prometheon is free and you may spread is as much as you want as long as this package remains intact. However, you may not sell the game or use parts from it in anything else.

The source code is not included in this demo version. This is due to various issues, but we plan to make it available together with the full game once it is finished. Sorry for that.
Our previous games have been released under a GPL v.3 licence, so this one will most likely be too, once finished.
